The Wanda Diamond League meeting in Doha has been postponed from its original May 8 date to June 19.
Originally intended to open the 2026 season at the Qatar Sports Club, the event—now known as the Mazzraty Doha Meeting—was rescheduled following a safety assessment conducted by Diamond League organizers and Qatari authorities. Because of the intense summer heat expected in June, the competition will move to the Khalifa International Stadium, a temperature-regulated venue that previously hosted the 2019 World Athletics Championships.
Under this revised schedule, Doha will serve as the eighth leg of the series, positioned between events in Oslo and Paris. The 2026 season will now officially kick off in Shanghai/Keqiao on May 16 and conclude with the series final in Brussels on September 4-5.
Across 15 global meetings and 32 disciplines, the league remains committed to providing a secure environment for the elite athletes competing for a spot in the two-day finale.
