The Ethiopia national under-17 football team will face Mozambique national under-17 football team in a play-off match that will determine qualification for the FIFA U-17 World Cup.

Ethiopia defeated Tunisia national under-17 football team 1-0 thanks to a last-minute header from Amir Misbah.

Despite the victory, Ethiopia finished third in the group after Egypt national under-17 football team lost 2-1 to Morocco national under-17 football team. Both Ethiopia and Egypt ended with a goal difference of zero, but Egypt advanced after scoring more goals.

Mozambique also finished third in their group to reach the play-off after securing a 2-1 victory over Angola national under-17 football team.

The two sides will face off on Saturday, May 23 at 7 PM.
