
Diribe Welteji made history at the Philadelphia Grand Slam Track by winning the women’s 800-meter race with a record-breaking time of 1:58.94, securing her place as the Philadelphia Slam Champion.
Her triumph continued in the women’s 1500-meter race, in which she not only claimed the Grand Slam Track title but also set a new competition record and achieved her personal best of the year with a stunning time of 3:58.04, earning a perfect 24 points.
Diribe, who has been competing fiercely in races held in Kingston, Jamaica, and the United States (Philadelphia), has now proven herself as a Slam Champion. Additionally, she secured fourth place in the United States (Miami).
