Addis Ababa, Ethiopia – As the countdown to the new Ethiopian Premier League season begins, the Ethiopian Football Federation (EFF) has released the latest updates on club licensing registration. Out of the 20 clubs set to compete, only eight have completed the full registration process.
The clubs that have met the licensing requirements are Bahir Dar Ketema, Ethiopia Electric, EIC FC, Hadiya Hossana, Hawassa City, Mechal, Saint George, Sidama Bunna, and Wolaitta Dicha.
To qualify for registration, clubs must adhere to criteria that encompass general information, sporting performance, infrastructure, personnel, and administration, as well as legal and financial obligations.
Notably, Adama City has yet to submit any required documents, while Fasil Kenema has only provided one of the necessary documents. The EFF emphasizes the importance of these regulations as they strive to enhance the standards of Ethiopian football.
As anticipation builds for the upcoming season, stakeholders within the football community are keenly watching the progress of the remaining clubs in meeting the licensing requirements.
