Winners of the 2025 Sofi Malt Great Ethiopian Run 10km International Race will receive record-breaking prize money, organizers have announced.
A total prize pool of ETB 1.8 million will be shared among the top finishers, marking the highest payout in the event’s 25-year history.
The men’s and women’s champions will each earn ETB 400,000, a 60% increase from last year’s ETB 250,000. The second-place finishers will take home ETB 200,000, while third-place athletes will receive ETB 100,000.
The World Athletics Label Road Race, celebrating its silver jubilee, is scheduled for November 23, 2025, and will see 55,000 participants running — and celebrating — through the streets of Addis Ababa.
