Ethiopian midfielder and national team captain Gatouch Panom has signed for the Iraqi club Newroz SC. The team plays in the Iraq Stars League, the top flight of Iraqi football. He has joined for this season. 

Gatoch is known for his versatility and skill on the field. He primarily plays as a midfielder, where he utilizes his agility and tactical awareness to contribute both defensively and offensively.

He started his football career in Ethiopia, and has played for St. George, Mekelle 70 Enderta, Ethiopia Bunna, Wolaitta Dicha and Fasil Kenema. 

He also had stints abroad at El Gouna , Haras El Hodoud , Al-Anwar and Anzhi Makhachkala. 

Gatoch has represented the Ethiopian national team, participating in various international competitions. 

Known for his vision and passing ability, Gatoch is often praised for his ability to control the tempo of the game and create scoring opportunities.
